What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Idaho Falls counselors?
Let's lay it all out here.
1. I've been a counselor like what- 4-5 years now?
2. Started my own practice last spring. It's growing quite well. I got credentialed with insurances, and have more clients than I know what to do with.
3. Boy, it has been a roller coaster to start and operate this. I see why people don't want to start their own practices.
4. Since I have more clients than I can handle, and access to office space, etc. I'm in the mood to hire awesome people to work with me.
5. Also, I plan on moving out of the country in a year or so, so I'm hoping to find a replacement, someone who wants to take charge on what I've built so far, and expand on it for years to come.
6. I anticipate that it will take some time to get on my insurance # and then it will take time to build a case load- but not too much, I average between 2-5 referrals a week. Right now. And I've been at my max for a minute.
7. I'm an LCSW but I'm not eligible to supervise you for another year, so you need to be independently licensed to work with me, that also means no interns for the time being. (But if you are an intern- did you know Open Path lets you get paid as an intern?! That's crazy awesome!)
8. As much as like helping my clients, I'm really excited about helping team members. You see, your team is your best buds. And while I can help 40 people a week, i'd love to get to a position where I can help a team which, in turn, helps 4000 people a week. I have so many ideas on that - but we can talk about those later. The point is; being a counselor is intrinsically rewarding, but I want to make it financially rewarding, fun, and reliable for you. I don't see any reason we can't be the happiest, best compensated, and most taken care of counseling group in Idaho.
9. I'm a big fan of Rula for payroll processing, they make it easy to do, and fast to get. Plus it offers a range of possible insurance/benefits options- Which I love. I've been in situations where I wished I got a little bit less money, but better insurance, or less money but a company car. I'd love to find out what is most helpful for you, and work with you there.
10. Since my practice is new, I'm super new to hiring staff. So bear with me, there will be a bit of a learning curve here.
