Job Title: Food Services Coordinator Status: Fulltime / Non-Exempt

SUMMARY OFPOSITION:
Idaho Falls Rescue Mission (IFRM) is a gospel rescue mission that exists to provide help, hope and a future to the hungry, homeless and hopeless in our community through the power and love of Jesus Christ. IFRM considers every position one of ministry. The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for the operation and provision of food services for the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission. This position is responsible for ensuring that meal preparation, service, and clean-up is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines for food safety operations in a commercial kitchen.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all kitchen equipment to ensure proper operating status is current. Train others in correct utilization.
- Help create budget, ensure that breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided for guests and non- guests.
- Provide support to all cooks, guests and volunteers assigned to food services.
- Operate all food services in compliance with established health and safety standards including Serv-Safe, USDA,OSHA and Public Health.
- Train volunteers and guests in proper safety and food handling procedures.
- Accurately report daily meal count.
- Assist in the maintenance of inventory and storage of all consumables.
- Verify the volunteer cook schedule is full with the Community Resource Manager.
- Be prepared to provide emergency meals if a volunteer cancels services with minimal notice.
- Prepare and disseminate donation request to the appropriate office within IFRM staff.
- Rotate the community bread racks to ensure freshness of food.
- All other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in kitchen management.
- Current Serv-Safe certification holder.
- Ministry mindset, mature Christian, able to model servant-leadership
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety
- Good teaching and training skills, conceptually and practically
- Strong planning and organization skills, excellent manager of resources, detail oriented
- Interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate and relate with diverse groups of people
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
