The Idaho Film Society (IFS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2023 to support Idaho's emerging film community. We create meaningful connections between creators and audiences through cinematic experiences, fostering dialogue and providing essential resources for filmmakers statewide.
We're seeking a dynamic Operations Director to partner with our Executive Director in managing all operational aspects of the Society. This hands-on leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the development of a cultural institution from its early stages.
Compensation: $48,000-$53,000 annually
Schedule: 40 hours weekly, Wednesday-Sunday (with occasional Monday/Tuesday special events)
Location: Downtown Boise, ID (primarily in-person)
- Venue Management: Oversee facility operations, maintenance, and improvement
- Hospitality Operations: Direct our bar program and theater concessions including inventory, staffing, and compliance with regulations
- Event Services: Manage the full event rental process from initial inquiry through execution
- Community Building: Develop and lead a volunteer program that creates meaningful engagement opportunities
- Operational Leadership: Create and implement policies and procedures that align with our mission and values
- Financial Stewardship: Manage operational budgets and contribute to financial reporting
- Has hospitality, venue management, or nonprofit operations experience
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excels at building relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Approaches challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
- Communicates effectively across different channels and audiences
