What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor - Electrical (Lumberton) position at Idaho Forest Group/Mississippi?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Project Leadership: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Lead automation projects by managing daily operations and implementing continuous improvements for enhanced system performance.
- Safety: Actively promote a culture of safety, ensuring all automation practices adhere to established safety standards.
- Process Optimization: Design and develop automation processes to optimize operations such as goal setting and resource allocation, utilizing innovative technologies to streamline workflows and boost efficiency.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to test and enhance automation systems, overseeing project execution for seamless integration and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Automation Design: Apply engineering principles to drive system enhancements. Design and analyze automation processes to identify optimization opportunities and contribute innovative ideas.
- Robotics Implementation: Oversee the design and integration of robotic cells in automation systems, collaborating with teams to test and enhance efficiency.
- Maintenance: Conduct electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for PLCs and related components, diagnose complex issues to minimize downtime.
- Training: Provide PLC training and hands-on instruction to Controls Technicians, ensuring thorough documentation for future reference and improvement.
- Budget Management: Track project expenses and resource allocations, prepare project ROIs, and identify variances to maintain budget integrity.
- System Upgrades: Oversee upgrades of HMIs, PLCs, and automation hardware to enhance operational efficiency, managing integration for optimal performance.
- Automated Testing: Design and verify automated testing tools, maintaining and updating PLCs and related modules to optimize system performance.
- Adaptability: Take on additional duties as required by evolving project and operational needs.
- Electrical: Plan and Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes.
- Energy: Monitor electrical energy consumption and implement strategies for energy conservation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of programming and electrical controls, including PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley ControlLogix), knowledge in Python, SQL Server, and operator interface design with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others towards shared goals.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle history for business travel in company vehicle.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in automation/robotics.
- Previous industrial/manufacturing experience.
- Education in Electronics Technology.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, airborne particles (sawdust).
