We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team as an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing behavioral health services in collaboration with our medical team.
Position Overview:
The Integrated Behavioral Health Specialist will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions, within a primary care setting. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with medical providers to improve patient outcomes, offering brief, solution-focused therapy and contributing to the development of integrated care models.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Care:
- Provide behavioral health assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for patients referred by primary care providers.
- Implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Screen for mental health concerns, substance abuse concerns, adverse health behaviors (including their contribution to chronic medical illnesses), stress-related physical symptoms, ineffective patterns of health care utilization, and adjustment to new and chronic medical conditions.
- Deliver brief therapy and psychoeducation to individuals, families, and groups.
Collaboration and Consultation:
- Partner with primary care providers and clinic staff to support integrated care delivery.
- Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate treatment plans.
- Act as a behavioral health resource for medical staff.
Education and Advocacy:
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Advocate for comprehensive care within the healthcare system.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Effectively maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Effectively provide verbal communication to concisely communicate relevant information to medical providers in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state licensing requirements, and ethical standards.
Program Development:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of integrated care models.
- Provide input on clinic policies and workflows to enhance behavioral health integration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Licensure:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a mental health related field.
- Current, unrestricted LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT license in the state of Idaho.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience, preferably in a primary care or integrated care setting.
- Skilled clinician with advanced diagnostic and treatment formulation skills.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing).
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a team-based environment.
- Competence in working with diverse populations and addressing social determinants of health.
- Perform various clinical, compliance, and administrative duties required to meet various billing and medical documentation requirements.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic clinical setting.
- Preferred
*Multilingual, strong emphasis on English and Spanish
*Experience with trauma-informed care and substance use disorder treatment
*Familiarity with integrated care principles and the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.
Technology:
- Experience using electronic health records (EHRs).
- Strong use with Microsoft Office 365
