- Days, full time.
- Subject to change according to business needs and assignment of internship.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The intern program encompasses all departments and areas of the facility. Projects will be selected based on the skills and education of the Intern and will be assigned based on the business needs at the beginning of the internship. At the completion of the summer, interns will be expected to present their results to the executive leadership team. Additional internship opportunities may be available outside of a summer internship, depending on business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use of project management methodology to work on projects.
- Follows instructions with rigor and discipline.
- Meticulous recordkeeping to document all aspects of project work.
- Prepares presentations and reports to communicate results.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Required: At least 1 year of coursework toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, engineering, business, or another closely related field.
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience solving problems, analyzing information, highlighting relevant information, and suggesting appropriate actions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, to meet defined deadlines and goals on time.
- Highly self-motivated individual comfortable working individually and able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently within the context of a fast-paced, busy environment.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent skills in MS Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to write reports and prepare/deliver presentations.
- Strong skills in organization, prioritization, and time management.
- Creative, self-starter who enjoys building systems from the ground up.
- Ability to establish good relations with all levels of employees.
Physical Requirements:
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
- Walking: occasional moving about on foot to accomplish some tasks.

- Subject to up to at least 92db’s Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
