North Idaho STEM Charter Academy, a public charter school of choice, is seeking a secondary Mathematics teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Teacher Responsibilities
- Be an active contributor to our culture of high expectations for all students
- Develop and implement inquiry-based curriculum and instructional practices consistent with STEM Charter Academy's instructional guidelines
- Actively engage all students in their own learning through organization and instructional practices
- Know each student well - create productive and positive relationships
- Be a master of classroom management
- Assess students' learning regularly in accordance with school policy, examine student data, and refine instructional and classroom practices as needed
- Provide students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom activities and students' progress; find ways to involve families / parents / guardians in their students' education
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, and parents
- Track critical student information and maintain accurate student records
- Actively participate in professional development
- Collaborate with other STEM Charter Academy teachers to improve instructional practices; share best practices
- Demonstrate commitment to STEM Charter Academy's mission, vision, value statements, core practices and benchmarks, policies and procedures, operation instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of character

- Be certified to teach in public schools, either in Idaho or in another state with a willingness to obtain certification to Idaho
- Meet or be willing to meet HQT requirements in assigned subjects
