The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for an Ag. Program Specialist in the in Ag. Resources Division located in Boise. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor pesticide product registration program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Assist in developing and training Division staff related to pesticide product registration and pesticide distribution regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary Division contact for inquiries about pesticide distribution. Review, approve, and process pesticide registration requests including but not limited to : Section 3 products, Section 18 products, 24C Special Local Needs products, 25b Minimum Risk products, and pesticide adjuvant products. Maintain Idaho pesticide product registration database and associate software by coordinating with IT staff when necessary. Conduct inspections and audits related to pesticide distribution. Review inspection reports to determine compliance with laws and regulations associated with pesticide distribution. Assist with enforcement actions related to pesticide distribution laws and rules in coordination with the Pesticide Compliance Section Manager. Create and submit program status reports. Compile and analyze data to identify program service needs and resources. Understand and interpret federal regulations associated with pesticide distribution and assist the regulated community in complying with program requirements. Conduct other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Reviewing laws, regulations, policies and / or procedures for compliance or explaining to others how they apply to specific situations Typically gained by one (1) year of experience reviewing for compliance or explaining how they apply to specific situations.
