Job Description
As a Carpenter Journeyman at TIC_Craft, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structural woodwork and equipment in industrial and commercial properties. Your primary duties will include:
- Constructing and repairing structural woodwork and equipment in yards, industrial, and commercial properties
- Working with various materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
- Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently
Requirements for the position include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in the field or a related area
- Working knowledge of skills and abilities for the position
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management/supervision
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
- Capacity to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial sites
