(RES-Americas), an expanding Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, and Transmission company, is seeking a Controls Software Engineering Manager in the Control Systems Department. This position will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and deliver various control systems for applications across RES' fleet. This position will work with various areas of the business to understand requirements and develop and deploy production level software code on renewable energy projects. They will leverage their experience to make technical decisions about control systems and the structure and approach the team takes. They will work cross functionally and collaboratively across a variety of internal functions to create new control system products for use across RES' technologies and markets. Requirements : Lead the technical design and development of edge-based controller products for wind, solar, and energy storage systems. Work collaboratively across RES teams to ensure that all stakeholders' requirements are addressed, and solutions are delivered efficiently. Develop a diverse and talented team of engineers and software developers to innovate ideas and deliver solutions that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. Lead the development of balanced software development and testing processes that produce high-quality results on schedule. Participate in software development tasks as appropriate. Develop budgets and resource plans to meet department goals. Participate in department strategic planning. Participate in relevant due diligence evaluations of business partners, engineering designs, and business development activities as required. Identify and help develop intellectual property opportunities. Apply engineering knowledge and experience with renewable energy to control system design. Design and document contractual testing procedures for control systems. Ensure that all product and project safety and security requirements are met.
