Engineering Designer / Drafter at Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Engineering Designer / Drafter We are looking for an Engineering Designer to join our Idaho Falls team You will be asked to prepare working plans, detailed drawings, and complete electrical drawings of moderately complex components and assemblies from documentation, notes, verbal instructions, cut sheets, and / or rough or detailed engineering sketches using computerized equipment (e.g., CAD / CAM). Utilize AutoCAD and / or Microsoft Visio for creation of assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, logic and networking diagrams and PIDs. Contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or manufacturing operation. Support Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and other groups within the company to facilitate product definition, manufacturing and product quality. Check drawings, models, attributes and BOMs for accuracy, correctness, and conformance to internal, quality, and industry standards. Measure for Success : Work well independently and as part of a team to achieve team and organizational goals Demonstrate a strong customer focus by listening to, recognizing, and responding to customer input in an effective, timely and courteous manner Take initiative as problems and opportunities arise by anticipating and meeting customer needs and company expectations. What You Bring : 4 years of drafting experience Technical / Trade School Preferred High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of electrical systems design. Experience with CAD, especially AutoCAD, is preferred.
