Micron is looking for experienced maintenance electricians to work in our new semiconductor fab we are building in Boise, Idaho. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the medium and low voltage systems on site up to 35kV. This includes distribution switchgear, UPS units, dynamic UPS units, power quality systems, transformers, cable and bus systems, VFDs and various controls and monitoring systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and coordination of work activities performed by contractors. Other responsibilities include : Follow all safety procedures, LOTO and NFPA 70E standards Able to work 12 hours shifts (3 on / 4 off and 4 on / 3 off), and rotate from days to nights every 4 months Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70 Able to understand electrical one-line diagrams and the ability to perform feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feeds Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment. Provide effective and competent responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failure. Identify and respond according to alarm conditions Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues. Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability. Maintain records on maintenance, testing and calibrations of equipment.
