Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Baker Truck Service team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of all truck stock in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

\

• Maintaining and troubleshooting all truck systems including hydraulic, air, brake, drive train, and engines.
\

• Repacking cylinders and welding as needed.
\

• Using parts and service manuals for repairs and identifying and ordering necessary parts.
\

• Attending outside training courses to stay up-to-date on new equipment and technologies.
\

• Working closely with supervisors and truck drivers to ensure timely and effective repairs.
\

Requirements
\
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

\

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
\

• One-year of mechanical training in vocational/technical school or equivalent work experience in heavy-duty mechanics.
\

• One-year of heavy equipment repair experience and hydraulic components repair.
\

• One-year of semi-truck and trailer repair.
\

• A valid driver's license.
\

• The ability to read schematics.
\

• Certifications in welding.
\

• Basic computer skills.
\
