Job Summary:
Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager in Training to join our team. As a General Manager in Training, you will assist in leading daily operations, manage processes, and execute strategies to drive sales and meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing multiple business operations, including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through restroom and shower cleanliness, facilities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
- Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with managers in talent acquisition and assist the General Manager with proper task execution and completion.
- Understand financial reporting, including analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting change to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
- 2 years of experience managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2 million.
- 2 years of experience affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
- 2 years of supervising and training 5-10 employees.
- Intermediate level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
