* Serve an apprenticeship receiving on-the-job instruction, classroom training, or self-study courses* Perform entry-level technical highway maintenance and engineering work* Operate power tools and light and heavy highway and construction equipment to maintain roadways, signs, bridges, and other transportation facilities* Conduct routine inspections and field activities
Requirements
* Possess a Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 60 days of hire* Pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing* Complete training to meet the Entry Level Driver Training requirements and licensing costs* Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions* Excellent communication and teamwork skills* Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
