Job Title: Instructional Assistant
">The Idaho Department of Correction is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support educational programs at the North Idaho Correctional Institution (NICI) in Cottonwood, Idaho.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor class activities under the supervision of the instructor, execute lesson plans, and assess student learning results. ">
- Review and correct student assignments. ">
- Monitor student behavior and progress, report problems, and suggest modifications to student instruction plans. ">
- Collaborate with teachers and staff members on academic and behavioral planning, management, and evaluation. ">
- Deliver TABE testing services and maintain testing supplies. ">
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records and files for students. ">
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities. ">
- Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding residents. ">
- Administer TABE Locator Testing and conduct TABE assessments to establish baseline learning and track progress over time. ">
Requirements:

- A minimum of some knowledge of behavioral management principles as applied in an educational environment, typically gained through completion of in-service training or coursework, or experience in applying behavior management in a work setting. ">
- Experience presenting lesson plans and educational materials to students in a group setting, typically gained through on-the-job training or completion of a course of study that included methods of instruction and presenting educational materials. ">
- Experience entering and retrieving data, and maintaining records using an automated record system, typically gained through at least six months of work experience in this area. ">
Preferred Qualifications:
