Journeyman Mechanic at Westrock Company in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description : The Journeyman Mechanic primary responsibilities, with safety in mind, are to maintain, tests, and repairs electrical / electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Possessing welding and machining skills is a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical / electronic and mechanical principles in analytically determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical / electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for a unionized plant. Job Responsibilities : Provides maintenance information by using CMMS. An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems. Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude. Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings. Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed What you need to succeed : Requirements : 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair. Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
