VisitWhy CWI (to learn more. Position Summary : The Lab Assistant in the College of Western Idaho Medical Assisting Program is responsible for helping the instructors in the Lab. The Lab Assistant participates in Lab activities related to the teaching faculty team and has responsibility for assisting students with their Lab assignments. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for setting up and cleaning up the Lab according to the scheduled study plan for the day. Essential Functions : - Participate in orientation, mentoring, and course team meetings as requested / required. - Demonstrate effective clinical teaching, as demonstrated by student learning / success and student evaluations of faculty. - Participate in Program activities as appropriate, especially in orientation to course tools / requirements and course team meetings. - Apply appropriate policies and regulations within the clinical agency, Medical assisting Program, Department, and College. - Maintain clinical expertise for Medical Assisting labs. - Responsible for following course grading criteria as provided by the instructor. - Be a role model of professional Medical Assisting for students. - Conveys by words and actions the values expected by CWI. - Other duties as assigned.
