Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant operating equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including inspection and lubrication.
- Routine replacement of bearings, idlers, dust collector bags, gearboxes, and drive belts.
You will:
- Understand the installation and maintenance of various types of bearings.
- Perform shaft alignments using precision tools.
- Disassemble and rebuild crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
- Use equipment manuals, parts lists, or blueprints to install, repair, or order parts.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure general housekeeping of the site.
- Accurately charge inventory parts from store.
- Document workplace inspections and ensure maintenance tools are kept in good condition.
Requirements
- Welding and industrial background with good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to detect potential problems through observation.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic mathematical computations and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and practices related to the lime industry.
