Requisition # : 74204 The Role at a Glance We are excited to bring on a self-driven Microsoft excel macro and access database developer to our Workplace Solutions Production Support team in the role of Microsoft VBA / Access Developer . Lincoln's Retirement Plans Services (RPS) organizations rely on automation and databases to deliver efficiencies and data storage solutions for many of their processes, with over 150 excel macros and five databases in use by the various teams across RPS. In this role, you will support RPS by building and maintaining the various macros and key databases used by these teams. This role can work remote or out of one of our key city locations. What you'll be doing Creating new excel macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Consulting with various business users to determine whether a macro can deliver efficiency gains or improve quality output Completing the necessary development for enhancements or to fix a defect on an existing macro and completing appropriate database updates including changing options in drop down fields, adding / removing users from database, and creating and / or executing data imports or exports Executing various database functions and processes to support plan compliance and document services with activities including non-discrimination testing, 403(b) restatements or other regulatory required actions. This includes building and executing on the appropriate queries or extracts and triggering the automated emails to the appropriate audience Collaborating with business teams to finalize requirements and determine appropriate test scenarios Continuing efforts to build out classes for macros that increase efficiency and turnaround times of the macro development process What we're looking for Must-haves : 3 - 5 years of experience with Visual Basic for Applications 3 years of experience with Microsoft Access Databases 4 year degree or equivalent work experience (4 years that align with the responsibilities of the role) Ability to translate business requirements into a macro design solution and then subsequent code development Expert level of experience with Microsoft Excel and Access An organized, self-driven, critical thinker who can work both independently and within a team Nice-to-haves : Knowledge of Selenium, IBM Communicator and other tools that enable VBA to interface with various systems and applications Microsoft Access SQL knowledge and experience Application Deadline Applications for this position will be accepted through February 14th, 2025, subject to earlier closure due to applicant volume What's it like to work here? Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
