Patient Account Associate Claims and EDI at Intermountain Wood Products in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description : Provides extraordinary care to our customers through friendly, courteous, and professional service through a broad understanding of account handling processes, extraordinary interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and accurate manner. Scope As a Claims and EDI Patient Account Rep I you need to know how to : Monitor assigned outstanding patient account claims. Document and file in the computer system all correspondence and action taken on an account. Follow the scanned document work flows. Follow up on patient accounts in an appropriate manner, including processing or rebilling late claims. Submit request for corrections to cash posting errors. Follow up on correction request. Provide feedback to management regarding problem payers and specific reimbursement problems. Interpret payer contract summaries to evaluate under and over payments. Meet department's productivity and quality goals in a high-volume processing environment. . Minimum Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent, required- At least one (1) year of hospital / physician billing or claims follow-up experience, preferred . Physical Requirements : Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. and See and read computer monitors and documents. and Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment. and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
