The Role The Planning Engineer II applies approved technologies and architectures to specific requirements for additions to support growth and new services at Lumen. This position reports to Director Infrastructure Planning and is in the Transport and Infrastructure group. It is an Individual Contributor position. Location This position is fully remote work from home within the US The Main Responsibilities Manages floor space, power, and cooling for regionalize network facilities / data centers. Kicks off space and power projects into engineering and PM groups. Develops / defines plans for the implementation of new plant construction or modifications to existing facilities. Prepares plans and specifications, to include gathering field data. Assures that the most feasible, practical and economical means to complete the work are utilized. Provides cost data to support capital planning and budgeting. Monitors and controls project expenditures. Skilled in planning and / or engineering. Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.
