The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for working underthe supervision of a Structural Engineering Manager to developstructural engineering solutions to the design of buildings andother load-bearing structures. Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesCollaborates with other disciplines and contractors tosupport the development of design deliverables such as drawingsand specificationsReviews shop drawings and submittals to understand howdesign and construction are inter-relatedAttends construction and design verification walks andsubmit report of observationsPrepares structural engineering calculations and finiteelement modelling under the supervision of a Senior EngineerWorks closely with design and technical teams in leadingthe development of design deliverables such as reports andConstruction Documents, including drawings and specificationsAnalyses and designs the basic structural components of abuilding or other structureCoordinates structural models and drawings with the otherdesign disciplinesMentors Interns and junior members of project teamsParticipates in the development of office standards andproceduresOther duties as assigned The information contained in this job description is intendedto describe the essential job functions required of thoseassigned to this job.
