The Role As a Senior Planning Engineer you will have the opportunity to interact with others in and outside of the organization, and work with facilities and data centers. And also the planning of the implementation or planning of initiating projects that place customers and network equipment within our network facilities and data centers. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business. This role reports directly to Director Infrastructure Planning and is considered an Individual Contributor position. The Infrastructure Planning and Implementation team you will be a member of is close-knit, supportive of each other and values the challenging work and diversity of thought. Location This position is fully remote work from home within the US. The Main Responsibilities Manages floor space, power, and cooling for regionalize network facilities / data centers. Oversees rack space and power implementations at network facilities / data centers. Kicks off space and power projects into engineering and PM groups. Develops / defines plans for the implementation of new plant construction or modifications to existing facilities. Prepares plans and specifications, to include gathering field data. Assures that the most feasible, practical and economical means to complete the work are utilized. Provides cost data to support capital planning and budgeting. Monitors and controls project expenditures.
