Transportation Technician Apprentice
This position is a 3-5 year horizontal career path at the Idaho Transportation Department. The successful candidate will undergo on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and be part of a team that fosters innovation and collaboration. This role involves driving an ITD vehicle, maintaining roadways and transportation facilities, and performing routine inspections and field tests.
The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license and experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions. A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within 60 days of hire. The position may involve working irregular shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol tests are also required.
