Job Description
Idaho State University is seeking to fill a new position that will be a key member of the Enrollment Management team. This individual will understand higher education strategies for recruiting and enrolling undergraduate students and how to harness data and analytics to shape, influence, and model university enrollment.
The Associate Director will be charged with developing and refining data-driven strategies to ensure Student Affairs leadership has the necessary insights to make informed decisions that advance institutional goals throughout the student lifecycle.
This position will collaborate with all offices in Enrollment Management and the Division of Student Affairs leadership to ensure data and reporting needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and render timely visual enrollment reports and provide ad-hoc data and analyses to the Enrollment Management team and Student Affairs leadership
- Apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining, predictive modeling and forecasting to support data-informed decision-making
- Collaborate with Admissions leadership to review enrollment funnel optimization and assist with recruitment strategy
- Collaborate with Advising and Retention leadership to analyze student success data and optimize university retention strategy
- Collaborate closely with Information Technology, Institutional Research, Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarship, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs on enrollment data related tasks
- Partner with leadership in Enrollment Management to support all EM department systems functions and data requests
- Develop and assess enrollment management processes, where data and analytics can assist in more robust and effective decisions
- Assist as needed with events on- or off-campus
- Must have flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to assist with on-campus events and other essential projects
- Assist with Division of Student Affairs Assessment as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Three (3) years experience with Tableau or other business intelligence/data visualization software
- Proficiency in statistical software and modeling techniques
- Demonstrated competency synthesizing qualitative and quantitative analyses
- An analytical, technical, and creative demeanor and mindset
- Experience with data analytics in Higher Education
- Experience with SQL or other programming languages
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members
- The ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties including consultants and other university departments
- The ability to manage and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Familiarity with FERPA and other federal compliance policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in a relevant field
- Five (5) years of data analytics and systems experience within Enrollment Management
- Familiarity with Web development/HTML
Additional Information

Salary will be between $75,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
