What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Temporary Grounds Associate position at Idaho State University?
ISU’s Facilities Services is hiring multiple part-time, temporary Grounds Assistants for our Pocatello campus. The successful applicants will work within the hours of 6am – 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The approved wage is $11/hour. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Mows and trims grass.
· Removes clippings, leaves, weeds, trash, and debris from the grounds.
· Prepares soil and plants flowers.
· Removes snow and ice from parking lots, walkways, and steps.
· May use a variety of hand and power tools.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Hours:
· Flexible scheduling. Employees are expected to adhere to their schedule.
· Hours of operation are 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
· No holidays, nights, or weekends.
Minimum qualifications:
· Current and valid driver's license required.
· Must be able to pass driving and background check.
· Physical ability to lift & carry 50 pounds throughout the duration of shift.
· Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
· Experience is not necessary; positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must.
