Service Advisor
Summary Objective
This position is responsible for growth and management of the Production department repair business. This includes working with the Service Manager on planning and scheduling with the express objective of meeting customer expected delivery requirements. The Service Advisor will report directly to the Service Manager.

- Meet or exceed customer OTD requirements.
- Maintain Production costs at or below budget.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize repair workflow through effective sequencing of labor, materials, and capacity in cooperation with other departments.
- Assist with all incoming phone calls for the Service department.
- Open all Repair jobs in system, manage throughout duration of job to close.
- Meet and assist all walk-in customers.
- Coordinate with internal and external colleagues to manage (minimize) work in progress and ensure timely closing of work orders.
- Manage information and records for the service department, such as retaining all VIN numbers on vehicles and equipment model and serial numbers.
- Daily communications with customers regarding job progress.
- Maintain current customer relationships by delivering orders on time, at or under cost and configured correctly; develop new customer relationships in a similar manner. Drive high standards of service internally.
- Develop and implement safety standards and programs for employees that provide a safe and productive work environment.

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, MRP or similar business software.

Supervisory Responsibility
No Direct Report responsibilities are needed for this position.
Work Environment
This position works in an office setting along with heavy equipment/truck production exposure throughout the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to
stand; walk; and sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a half an hour lunch. Differing hours may be arranged.
Travel
Infrequent travel is anticipated.
Preferred Education and Experience
Very strong technical aptitude; must have demonstrable experience with mechanical assembly, wiring electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, paint and body work.
