Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Build pallets for shipping, ensuring that all items are securely packaged and labeled.
• Assist with inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, handling loads that may exceed standard weight limits.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred; familiarity with OSHA regulations is a plus.
• Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment including clamp trucks and cranes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to build pallets effectively for shipping purposes.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Monday to Friday

1st Shift

5 AM to 1:30 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
