Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pallet Jack Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently moving products and materials throughout the distribution center, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in using various warehouse equipment.
Duties
- Operate pallet jacks to transport goods within the warehouse and distribution center.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed, using appropriate machinery such as cranes or clamp trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery in the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory management is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Experience with other warehouse machinery such as forklifts, cranes, or order pickers is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment under minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
