Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role is crucial for ensuring that our projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The Equipment Operator will work in diverse environments, including construction sites, farms, and other industrial settings.This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the receipt, storage and shipment of grain and other crop inputs/agricultural products.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and concrete mixers.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Safely transport materials using water trucks and other heavy machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Commercial driving experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with various types of machinery including farm machinery, water trucks, concrete mixers, bulldozers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and backhoes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
