Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient management of incoming shipments, ensuring that all products are accurately received, documented, and stored. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments effectively.
Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Document the receipt of packages using MRP systems and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Utilize basic math skills to verify quantities and resolve discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks for loading and unloading materials.
- Organize and store received items in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management systems is desirable.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading packages.
- Basic math skills are essential for verifying shipment quantities.
- A valid forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
