Summary
The Parts Warehouse Person is responsible for picking, stocking and tracking warehouse inventory, loading company delivery and service vehicles and delivering wholesale and retail inventory to dealership locations and parts department as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and count stock items.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked in warehouse.
- Store items in an orderly accessible manner.
- Mark stock items using identification tags.
- Clean and maintain warehouses.
- Determine proper storage methods, based on fast moving items.
- Examine and inspect returned items.
- Dispose of damaged or defective parts.
- Prepare and maintain records to Parts Manager of any damage or shortages.
- Investigate discrepancies.
- Participate in annual and perpetual inventory counts.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork and camaraderie.
- Backup to parts driver as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years clear driving record- No previous DUI history or moving violations
- Valid driver’s license
- No prior criminal history
- Some previous automotive parts experience
- High level of dependability and organization.

Supervisory Responsibility – Exempt status
This position is non-exempt and has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
Parts Warehouse Persons will usually work 40-50 hours per week on a rotation between 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. including weekends and holidays. Most time is spent in the warehouse but also includes working outside on the lot in all weather conditions. Temperatures can be extreme in the warehouse and require a tolerance for temperatures above 100 degrees.
Physical Demands
May sit, walk or stand for long periods of time in all weather and temperature conditions. Repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, grasping, hearing, seeing and talking. Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
Travel
This position requires minimal extended travel beyond test drive areas.
Valid driver's license is required and all applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
