Position Summary
Duties and responsibilities
- Develops training courses and materials to be used in workshop, group, and one-on-one training sessions with the help of outside vendors if needed.
- Trains on soft skills for employees and leaders to include emotional intelligence, self-regulation, empathy and awareness.
- Oversees the safety compliance program and coordinates safety training with outside vendors.
- Assesses participants learning performance; identifies need for additional, specialized, or adaptive instruction.
- Maintains records of completed training.
- Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
- Auto industry experience preferred.
- Ability to patiently explain material to less technically proficient users.
- Bilingual preferred; but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis in organizational development and or Human Resources
- Three to five years of training and development experience, with at least one year in a management role.
- Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to travel to various dealerships in central Texas, with the understanding that continued growth may require further travel with some overnights.
