About the Role
- As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research on applicable mandatory and voluntary safety standards to ensure product compliance.
- You will develop and implement product safety and performance requirements to maintain quality benchmarks.
- Your expertise in risk analysis will help identify potential safety concerns and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- You will coordinate third-party testing to verify product safety and regulatory compliance.
- You will analyze consumer complaint trends, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Overseeing Supplier Quality Management Systems Audits is also part of your responsibilities, ensuring vendors meet quality expectations and are current on all audits.
- Staying updated on industry regulations and best practices requires attending annual JPMA/CPSC meetings.
- You will ensure that all tests and procedures are properly understood, executed, and evaluated, implementing modifications when necessary.
- Maintaining product performance by gathering relevant data and generating statistical reports for quality assessment is crucial.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager within the consumer products industry is required.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred, but not necessary.
- A strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- A background or experience handling regulatory compliance and safety testing is necessary.
- Home Category – Textile background is a plus, and Walmart Experience is required.
