Human Assets Data Analyst
Mission : The Human Assets Data Analyst role serves as the subject matter expert for data reporting and analysis, visualization, and dashboarding that supports the Human Assets Area (Compensation and Benefits). The HA Data Analyst ensures that analytics used to inform decision-makers is rigorous, timely, clear, and reproducible. The HA Data Analyst works cross-functionally : they are formally on the Research and Analytics (R&A) team, which is responsible for their technical and professional development, and are placed with the Human Assets (HA) team, which is responsible for managing their day-to-day work. The HA Data Analyst supports recurring analyses, ad-hoc requests, and longer research projects.

Location :
This is a full-time remote position based Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland / Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations :
This role is generally remote, but travel to IDEA training events or step-backs may be required.What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties :
Create clear analysis (e.g., descriptive, predictive, and causal) that highlights trends, relationships, and opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.Partner with Information Systems and Software Development to verify that data sources available for analyses and reporting are populated with accurate and timely data.Ensure that repeated analyses and reports (e.g., compensation reports) are designed in a reproducible, replicable manner which reduces subsequent re-analysis burdens.Provide rapid turnaround for ad-hoc data analysis requests from stakeholders.Gather requirements and use cases from key stakeholders for each report / analysis / data request.Utilize project management best practices to set expectations with business partners and deliver against them.Use both data visualization and reporting best practices to share findings with partners and stakeholders.Additional Duties and Responsibilities :
Utilize checkpoints during product and design to solicit adjusting feedback.Ensure that R&A products are easy to find and access.Create reports that provide clear, actionable, and time-sensitive recommendations.100% of data sources used by R&A are documented, including how to access initial data sources, ETL process, and key transformations and metric calculations.100% of statistical methods used and modeling choices are documented, including why the method was selected.For ongoing products and reports (e.g., analytical summaries), the analysis lifecycle for ETL to final report is documented, in version control, and reproducible.Knowledge and Skills – Competencies

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $74,700 and $87,100, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
