As a Software Test Engineer Level 2, you will be an integral part of our Agile development team. You will play a key role in the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring that our products are delivered to a published roadmap within planned release cycles. You will be contributing towards the definition and development of a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team. This is all whilst supporting the Test Team to ensure that our applications meet our definition of done and have the potential to be released within our continuous deployment cycle.
Responsibilities
- Test Execution & Quality Assurance: Execute test cases and scripts to ensure software products meet quality standards and user requirements.
- Defect Identification & Reporting: Track, report, and document defects found during testing.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with developers and project managers, providing feedback during technical and functional reviews.
- Test Documentation: Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Contribute to test automation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project Involvement: Participate in project planning, estimation activities, and agile team activities like stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Requirement Comprehension: Work with minimal guidance to understand simple to moderately complex requirements and prepare test datasets.
- Industry Knowledge & Skill Growth: Stay updated on the latest software testing trends and technologies.
Skills and Experience
- Software Testing Experience: Medium-level role with prior experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Testing Methodologies & Tools: Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in test execution and defect reporting.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Automation & Development Knowledge (Desirable): Experience with automated testing tools, programming languages, and development tools.
- Agile & Scrum Familiarity (Desirable): Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies for efficient collaboration.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and develop skills in software testing and quality assurance.
