The inventory control associate will prepare, verify, and keep records of incoming and outgoing parts/materials to all internal and external customers. Job Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and accurately route parts/materials to the correct destination includes receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording of incoming parts and/or material.
- Examines contents and compares with records such as packing slips, receiving reports, ship lists, and verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
- Records shipment/receiving data such as damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
- Measure, weigh, or count parts/materials.
- Retrieve parts for workorders to meet the assembly schedule.
- Prepare parts/materials "kits" for Production departments in all locations.
- Use of inventory control procedures.
- Perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Initiate, lead, and implement continuous improvement activities to achieve profitability and improve quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Graduate (diploma or GED).
- 1-2 years of similar experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in the use of computers along with Microsoft Excel.
- Certified to drive forklift or willingness to get certified.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and accomplish duties.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Accurate completion of paperwork.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and peers by telephone, email, or in person.
- Accounting knowledge beneficial.
- Forklift experience a plus
- Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
- Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
- The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
