The Business Development Manager will lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business segments; develop and maintain effective key customer relationships as well as ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a clear understanding of Ideal Aerosmith solutions for product and service offerings
- Develop new business and long-term account opportunities through prospecting and follow ups, including frequent customer visits
- Own responsibility for the identification of new business opportunities and expansion of existing relationships and partnerships and drive the capture process in two areas of industry, motion simulation and inertial testing
- Ensure Inertial Test Lab (ITL) testing-as-a-service offering continues to grow and meet customer needs
- Complete RFP's and proposals, follow up on submissions and close business. Be aware of organizational growth initiatives regarding market and target customer segments, and the company’s potential to meet customer needs.
- Develop sales presentations, conduct seminars, and participate in meetings with clients and external vendors
- Oversee, maintain, and upgrade existing accounts and coordinate, manage, and resolve any issues to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
- Select and attend trade association meetings, conferences, shows and exhibitions
- Frequent domestic travel is expected for this role

Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. A technical degree is preferred.
- 5 years of sales, marketing or engineering experience.
- Previous knowledge in inertial sensors and systems, engineering or sales roles.
- To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
