The Material Handler will load and unload different transport vehicles, record inventory statuses, and ensure deliveries properly match purchase orders. The person to fill this role must be able to operate different types of lifting machinery such as pallet jacks, order pickers, side loaders, reach fork trucks and counterbalance forklifts.
The Material Handler will be responsible for safe transportation of material to and from warehouses via box truck or similar transportation. This person will monitor inventory and location of inventory in each of the warehouses.
The Material Handler will be responsible for accurate receiving and processing of machined / outside processing parts from vendors to ensure parts match purchase orders and are routed to the proper next process. The person to fill this role must be able to read basic blueprints and have a basic understanding of work orders and routings.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment for the purpose of :
Locating, moving, relocating, stacking, and counting components within a warehouse.
Prepare, pack, and label product for shipment.
