DELIVERY DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
Ideal Appliance Parts, Inc.
Full Time and Part Time delivery drivers are responsible for everyday deliveries to our customers.
They are responsible for maintaining excellent customer service in this process ,consistent and open Communication with their Customers, manager, and counter sales persons , this process is KEY to Excellent customers service.
THEY ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ADHERING TO ALL SAFETY STANDARDS and in Compliance with all Safety Protocol in all areas of the driving position not limited to the following:
Driving, loading, unloading, delivery of merchandise and all other aspects of the job.
On Occasion the delivery drivers have to pick up inventory from a vendor, they are to adhere to the same guidelines as when delivering to a customer or vendor.
Drivers are responsible for having all delivery invoices/tickets signed and returned at the end of the day to the proper person.
- VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SHEETS- They are responsible for maintenance checks at least 1 time per week… they are to get the completed forms to their supervisors IMMEDIATELY and if there is any maintenance issues/ problems or any concerns they may have regarding the vehicle: regular scheduled maintenance, tire problem, engine light, etc…they need to communicate this to their supervisors and NOTATE on form and follow-up until the issue is resolved…SAFETY FIRST PLEASE!
- KEEP A Blank COPY OF MAINTENANCE SHEET IN VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES
- (STORE SUPERVISORS ARE TO KEEP COMPLETED MAINTENANCE SHEETS IN A FILE IN DATE ORDER )
WE normally DO NOT Do installations for our customers, UNLESS YOU ARE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY BY MANAGEMENT OR YOUR STORE SUPERVISOR…..
