Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented EXPERIENCED ONLY MEDICAL ASSISTANT & SCRIBE to join our healthcare team. As a Experienced Medical Assistant / Scribe, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers offering physician support and ensure efficient workflow of the medical office. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner, documenting patient encounters and ensuring accurate medical records. Responsibilities Included but not limited too:
- Front desk, check in / out / surgery scheduling / insurance verification
- Prepare patient rooms, take vitals, document medical history
- Input patient medical information in EMR
- Assist during medical examinations
- Pharmacy calls / prescription refills
- Patient calls for lab or test results
- Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
- Record vital signs and other relevant patient information as required.
- Assist healthcare providers in documenting proper coding and entering data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support the medical team in various settings, including outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgical centers and operating rooms (OR).
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards and confidentiality regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and streamline processes.
- Triage calls appropriately
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience is a MUST ! Medical office, clerical, referrals knowledge is vital to this role and is required.
- Previous experience or knowledge of vital signs is preferred.
- Familiarity with referrals coding systems used in medical documentation is a plus.
- Understanding of patient care protocols within the medical office or outpatient setting is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, including clinic, ambulatory center or hospital is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other medical software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
