JOB DESCRIPTION : A RN-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor is a healthcare professional who educates students in the fundamentals of nursing and prepares them to become licensed practical nurses. In this position, the LPN Instructor evaluates the student's skills and abilities and implements an instructional plan to meet their educational objectives. The LPN Instructor monitors the class and provides feedback to students to ensure they are meeting program objectives and standards. The instructor also evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of students and designs instructional strategies to address their needs. Additionally, the LPN Instructor may create and maintain a learning environment conducive to the success of their students.The instructor must cultivate a professional relationship with students and maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline and respect in the classroom. Other tasks may be assigned such as developing curriculum and relevancy assessment for their programs.
