Description
The Inventory Manager will oversee and maintain accurate data in a computerized inventory system for a manufacturing firm for accuracy of all phases of inventory counts and costs
Duties
- Build Bill of Materials for numerous elements
- Enter all new data as needed
- Consistently make the necessary changes to maintain accurate counts and costs
- Work closely with Director of Operations, Purchasing and Project Managers
- Maintain daily records of items received and shipped
- Perform quarterly audits of all physical inventory
- Form team and lead annual physical count of raw goods, work in progress and finished goods
- Facilitate software updates and changes with software manufacturer
- Serve as software administrator
- Attend production meetings
- Instruct and lead others
- All other related duties with regards to inventory.
Qualifications
- Required Skills
- Ability to communicate with others in a proactive, respectful manner toward a common goal
- Basic understanding of the inventory process
- Computer literate
- Organization and clear record keeping
- Self-motivated to accomplish tasks alone while possessing the ability to work well as part of a team
- Education/Experience
- Experience with a computerized inventory system in the manufacturing realm most preferred
- Experience with manual inventory systems will be entertained
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes a plus
- Experience in purchasing a plus
- High school diploma or higher
