Responsibilities

The Industrial National Account Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales to develop, manage and support sales activities for new and existing industrial customer base. This position's key objective is to improve and grow our market share by analyzing the business, evaluating sales trends and creating high impact sales presentations to the customer. You will be the key liaison between the customer and IDEAL Industries and be recognized as the category expert. Working with the Director of sales you will also develop strategies and tactics to maximize sales potential and take share.

What the role is all about :

Creating and executing a strategic plan to deliver incremental revenue to the Industrial business segment.

  • Develop relationships with Industrial distributors and lead manufacture rep agencies to sell IDEAL products and gain share.
  • Be an "expert" and point of contact for the Industrial Business segment for both internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with product team to identify new product development opportunities and drive the launch of new products in market.
  • Negotiate contracts, cost changes, and allowances with new and existing customers.
  • Analyze sales trends and market gaps to develop and execute selling strategies.
  • Identify and develop new customer targets to grow industrial market share.
  • Develop, evaluate and recommend new products, promotions, advertising and marketing programs.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and maximizing financial KPIs (Sales, Margin, Inventory Turns).
  • Proficient at planning, prioritizing and project management.
  • Experienced at visual merchandising and Planogram creation.
  • Collaborate with product managers and operations to elevate the business performance and meet market demands.
  • Work cross functionally with operations and customer service to achieve customer fill rates and on time targets.
  • Identify and gain new channels of distribution and end users

Qualifications

Who you are :

  • 5 years' experience in sales and / or marketing with a record of demonstrated success in the industrial channel.
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan.
  • Proficiency in developing and present to internal and external customers.
  • Goal oriented with the desire to achieve exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in developing and presenting to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and determine appropriate actions to improve account position.
  • Creative problem solver with strategic thinking skills.
  • College or University graduate preferred and familiarity with the electrical trade's products is a plus
  • Willing to travel as needed - estimated up to 25%.

  • The expected annual salary for this position is between $94,843.00 and $127,803.00 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
