Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing services for new and redesigned products including the selection and implementation of lean processes, new equipment, new tooling and new manufacturing techniques into production. This position also determines lean, product, equipment, and process improvements in order to reduce cost, scrap, rework, maintenance, and setup. This position will also work closely with the new product development team. Reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
New Product Projects
- Responsible for scheduling, budgeting and completing assigned responsibilities for New Product Projects.
- Responsible for timely and accurate cost information, reviewing the design for manufacturing, concurrent engineering, reviewing the design specifications for completeness and reviewing the impact the product will have on each production department.
- Responsible for the conceptual design, ordering and implementation of tooling in a timely manner.
- Responsible for coordinating the tooling, material, equipment and methods for processing the new product in order to produce the desired quality at the lowest cost.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the Production Documentation Package.
- Lean Process Development and Trouble-shooting
Lead Kaizens implementing lean tool including 5S, Poke Yoke, Visual Management, TPM, Quick Change, Single Piece Flow and Kanban.
Investigate, specify, and economically justify the purchase of new capital equipment.

REQUIREMENTS :
The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,504.00 and $101,553.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
