What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Signal Processing Engineer position at Ideal Innovations?

- In this role, you will build your strengths in radar system development, system design and hardware/software integration. You will be exposed to new analysis tools, test equipment and test methods. Each day will present a new opportunity to learn and grow. Professional development is encouraged and expected at I-3.
Typical Day:
- A typical day will be spent in the office and lab, involving a wide variety of activities such as design and analysis, testing and evaluation of software/hardware systems, customer meetings and design review meetings.
Tasks:
- Provide technical services in support of a customer program. Develop and refine active and passive RF sensing systems. Contribute to technical briefings and reports. Participate in field tests when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related discipline, and will have experience with RF systems and have well-developed programming skills.
- Duties will include the processing of radar data and application of machine learning models to collected radar data.
- Duties will also include overseeing the implementation of edge processing on radar platforms and the integration of radar data into TAK.
Desired Qualification:
- Experience with RF modeling using ray tracing. Experience with software-defined radios. Experience with Ettus USRPs, BladeRF, and LimeSDR.
