Maintenance Technician

Brief Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, repair, and upkeep of all Ideal Market's stores equipment, refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical systems, and general store facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the store facility's equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and stores facilities.
• Perform carpentry functions.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
• Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, or other parts of building structures.
• Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.
• Conducting inspections of premises and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed regarding preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, requesting replacements as necessary.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned.
