Position Overview:
The Lead Auto Detailing Specialist will oversee and deliver top-tier detailing services for our customers’ vehicles while managing a small team of one to two detailers. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring every vehicle meets client expectations for quality and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Detailing Leadership: Perform and oversee comprehensive cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicle interiors and exteriors, ensuring high-quality results that align with client quotes and standards.
- Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise a team of one to two detailers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality.
- Hour Supervision: Monitor and supervise the hours worked by detailers, ensuring accurate timekeeping and adherence to labor budgets.
- Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules for the detailing team, balancing client demands with team availability and efficiency.
- Client Satisfaction: Interpret client quotes and ensure all detailing work meets or exceeds expectations for quality and timeliness.
- Organization: Maintain an orderly parking system, ensuring vehicles are parked systematically and workspace remains tidy and efficient.
- Inventory Management: Monitor, manage, and order detailing supplies and equipment to ensure the team has the necessary tools to perform their duties.
- Care and Safety: Handle employee and customer vehicles with the utmost care, ensuring no damage occurs during the detailing process, and instill the same standard in the team.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in auto detailing is required, with a preference for candidates who have led or supervised others in a detailing or similar role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a small team, delegate tasks, and maintain accountability for quality and performance.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to notice and address minor imperfections, ensuring flawless results.
- Organizational Skills: Strong capability to manage multiple vehicles, oversee team workflows, create schedules, and maintain an efficient workspace.
- Inventory Oversight: Experience or aptitude for managing inventory, tracking supplies, and ensuring resource availability.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to inspire the same in others.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to foster a positive team environment and contribute to a strong workplace culture.
- Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
