Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Production Specialist to join our team at Ideal Ready Mix Company, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating the ready-mix plant and related equipment, ensuring they are in proper and safe working condition.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate the assigned plant with absolute accuracy and in full compliance with customers' orders and projects' specifications.
- Primary batch person, accurately reading, interpreting, and using projects' specifications, customers' orders, and mix designs.
- Maintain raw materials inventory at proper levels, ordering materials as directed in accordance with the Company's Purchasing Policy.
- Service and maintain the plant and all associated equipment in proper and safe working order.
- Accurately complete all documentation and reports, forwarding documents to the Business Office.
- Ensure the site is properly maintained, mowed, snow removed, vehicles properly parked, materials correctly stored, debris disposed of, storm and washout water controlled, and hazardous materials properly stored or disposed of.
- Conduct basic IDOT concrete tests.
- Assist production as directed, including driving mixer or material trucks, or operating equipment.
- Work effectively under time and scheduling deadlines, consistently producing an efficient, accurate work product.
- Work proficiently in a team organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or demonstrable equivalent.
- Two years of experience operating construction or ready-mix equipment and vehicles.
- IDOT Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Command Data System knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Appropriate CDL driver's license and all applicable license endorsements, with a driving record that does not cause an adverse insurance risk rating or premium increase.
